Surrendering Your Thai Ridgeback

Thank you for considering Trogers TRD Rescue for the surrender of your dog. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines outlined below to ensure a seamless process.

Owner Requirements

Complete and submit the "Surrender Questionnaire" in its entirety. Do not leave any blank responses. If you are not able to provide a response please choose "Other" and plan to include the rationale within the "Get to know me" story you will be required to share with us and the dog's future family. 

To initiate the surrender, please provide proof that your dog is a purebred Thai Ridgeback. Acceptable documentation includes your original agreement with the breeder, breeder documentation, breed registration papers (such as AKC, UKC, FCI, etc.), or DNA genetic testing results. Please note that we cannot accept a veterinarian's word alone as sufficient proof of pure breed status.

Veterinary Records

Before surrendering your TRD, please prepare the following documentation. You will be required to email the following documents before we accept your dog:  

- Proof of spay/neuter (Vet record acceptable)

- Current vaccination records  

- Microchip information  

- Photos and a brief description about your dog to assist in finding a new home. Provide a few paragraphs about your dog; likes, dislikes, activity, etc.  ​

Appointments

Appointments are required prior to bringing your dog to our facility. If your dog appears unhealthy or injured, we may request that you take your dog to a veterinarian before arrival.
