Surrendering Your Thai Ridegback

Thank you for considering Trogers TRD Rescue for the surrender of your dog. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines outlined below to ensure a seamless process.

Owner Requirements

To initiate the surrender, please provide proof that your dog is a purebred Thai Ridgeback. Acceptable documentation includes your original agreement, breeder documentation, breed registration papers (such as AKC, UKC, FCI, etc.), or DNA genetic testing results. Please note that we cannot accept a veterinarian's word alone as sufficient proof of pure breed status.

The owner must be present at the time of surrender to sign the surrender contract. If the owner is unable to attend, the contract must be signed and notarized prior to any discussions regarding transfer arrangements. Any and all transportations costs to get the dog to our facility or a foster home is solely the responsibility of the dogs owner, we do not provide any transportation options. We only accept dogs from their owners; no exceptions will be made for friends or family.

Veterinary Records

Before surrendering your dog, please prepare the following documentation:  

- Proof of spay/neuter  

- Current vaccination status  

- Microchip information  

- Photos and a brief description to assist in finding a new home for your dog

Surrender Fees

As a non-profit rescue organization, we charge a non-refundable $50 surrender application fee, plus a surrender fee once your application is approved to help cover the costs associated with food, medical care, and shelter. All donation fees are tax deductible.

Appointments

Appointments are required prior to bringing your dog to our facility. We cannot accept dogs that appear unhealthy or injured; if necessary, we may request that you take your dog to a veterinarian before arrival.
